Samantha Daniels Napaltjarri b. 1982, Docker River Community, NT) began painting in 2005 under the guidance of her mother, Ruby Nangala Daniels, and grandmother, Linda Syddick Napaltjarri, both revered Luritja custodians. Holding a university degree and serving as a community social worker, Samantha balances cultural advocacy with creative expression.
In her vibrant acrylic Land Creation, she maps ancestral land, wildflowers, waterholes, and gathering sites with expert dotting and rich ochre, red, and earthy tones. Concentric circles, U-shaped motifs, and flowing lines guide viewers through a feminine and delicate vision of Country and kinship
Through bold colour, traditional iconography, and narrative precision, Samantha’s work has gained acclaim via sell-out exhibitions at Maruku Art Centre and galleries across Australia.
