Samantha Daniels Napaltjarri b. 1982, Docker River Community, NT) began painting in 2005 under the guidance of her mother, Ruby Nangala Daniels, and grandmother, Linda Syddick Napaltjarri, both revered Luritja custodians. Holding a university degree and serving as a community social worker, Samantha balances cultural advocacy with creative expression.

In her vibrant acrylic Land Creation, she maps ancestral land, wildflowers, waterholes, and gathering sites with expert dotting and rich ochre, red, and earthy tones. Concentric circles, U-shaped motifs, and flowing lines guide viewers through a feminine and delicate vision of Country and kinship

About the Artist

Samantha Daniels Napaltjarri

Samantha comes from a distinguished artistic lineage: she is the granddaughter of renowned artists Linda Syddick Napaltjarri and Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, and daughter of celebrated painter Ruby Nangala Daniels. From 2005 onward, she learned her craft under their guidance, adopting traditional iconography and cultural protocols, painting only with permission from her elders.

Her artwork is highly sought after, and her talent is obvious. Many art critics believe she is well on her way to becoming one of Australia’s most successful female aboriginal artists whose artworks will be sought after by collectors worldwide.
