Madeline Curley Original

Seven Sisters Dreaming (Rockholes)—Acrylic on Linen

Madeline Curley, a Pitjantjatjara artist (b. 1976, APY Lands, SA), is a self-taught painter whose work resonates with cultural depth. She’s the daughter of renowned artist Imitjala Curley and sister to Meredith Curley. Madeline rose to prominence in the contemporary Indigenous art scene through exhibitions, auctions, and even a projection of her work on the Sydney Opera House during the 2019 Badu Gili light series

In Seven Sisters Dreaming (Rockholes), Madeline weaves the sacred narrative of the Pleiades sisters on the run from the pursuer Nyiru, using acrylic on linen. Her composition features roundels that mark sacred waterholes and rockholes, with fine dotted lines mapping the sisters’ winding paths across the land. With delicate winding lines representing the sisters’ paths, all executed in vibrant yet harmonious tones

Through flowing dotwork and sweeping patterns, Madeline balances expressive freedom with cultural precision. Crafting visually poetic works that engage collectors and communities alike. Her paintings resonate beyond the studio, having been exhibited widely, sold at auction, and met with strong demand. Marking her as a significant voice in contemporary Indigenous art.

I recently sold a Pro Hart painting on and They handled all aspects of the sale including transport of the painting from my home, located outside Queensland, to the buyer. The service they provided was exemplary. Very professional service. Highly recommended.

Pam McEvoy

I sold my Pro Hart from my home in Europe after owning it for well over 30 years. I was quite cautious about such a long distance arrangement but the gallery was very effective and friendly. Christine offered personal and professional service and guidance. I am also happy that it could be returned to Australia and handled by the Hart family.- the best solution really. Happy to recommend!

A big shout out of thanks and appreciation to Christine and the team who advised us well as we prepared to sell a Pro Hart original: their expert advice, followed trustingly, was rewarded with a prompt sale at a reasonable price.
